Burlington Ward 6 NPA Meeting 09/02/2010

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to encourage citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies help improve communication between the citizens of Burlington and City government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Ward 6 meets the first Thursday of the month. Meeting place: Greek Orthodox Church 600 South Willard Street.

Brian Pine and Kevin Stapleton discuss a report the city and the Fair Housing Project recently commissioned called “An Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice.”  The report is a requirement for entities that receive CDBG funding and It addresses the various barriers to fair and affordable housing in Burlington.

Celebrate Democracy Burlington Banner Parade 08/21/2010

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to encourage citizen participation in City government. A celebration of our right to vote starts with banner and sign making at the Burlington Police Department, followed by a parade to City Hall Park.  Sponsored by the Neighborhood Planning Assemblies and the Center for Community and Neighborhoods.
