SPECIAL - Debate on Instant Runoff Voting at City Hall's Contois Auditorium February 18, 7 p.m.
Channel 17/Town Meeting TV in partnership with The Burlington Neighborhood Planning Assemblies brings neighborhood centric and interactive election forums to your TV. These forums will be carried live from location on Channel 17 via web streaming. Phone calls and e-mails will be accepted from viewers. Audience members may also participate by attending their neighborhood forum hearing the candidates and asking questions.
The schedule for the Live TV portion of the Candidate Forums and City Budget Presentations follows the regular Neighborhood Planning Assembly schedule* as listed below:
- Thursday, February 4, Ward 6 at 7 p.m. Greek Orthodox Church
- Wednesday, February 10, Ward 1 at 7 p.m. UVM Memorial Lounge, Waterman Bldg.
- Thursday, February 11, Ward 2/3 at 6:30 p.m. McClure Multi Gen Ctr. , 241 North Winooski Ave.
- Tuesday, February 16, Ward 4/7 at 6:30 p.m. Robert Miller Community Ctr. 130 Gosse Ct.
- Wednesday, February 17, Ward 5 at 7p.m. Dept. of Public Works 645 Pine Street
The live call in number for the NPA forums is 802-497-4339. In addition you can email your questions or comments to channel17 [at] cctv [dot] org. Questions will be passed to the forum moderator in a written form. All forums will be recorded and streamed live on Comcast and Burlington Telecom Cable Channel 17. Forums will repeat 8 times in February and be available for viewing online at www.cctv.org.
