Burlington Planning and Zoning Closing Presentation - What Will the Future Look Like for the Downtown and Waterfront 01/30/2012
The Burlington Planning & Zoning Department facilitates the community preparation of a master land use and development plan for Burlington’s Downtown and Waterfront area through 'Design Charette's'. This is the closing presentation of a week-long intense and participatory process. The overall objective of this project is to provide a comprehensive guide for Downtown and Waterfront development that will sustain and enhance economic vitality, guide future development, create more housing and jobs, preserve historic character, protect the environment over the next 10-20 years. The success of this process and its future implementation includes community participation, input and engagement. Burlington Mayoral Candidate Kurt Wright (R) receives the endorsement of the Burlington Police Officers Association (BPOA). John Federico, president of the BPOA remarked:
“The Burlington Police Officer’s Association recently met with each of the three Mayoral candidates. Today we are announcing our endorsement for Kurt Wright for the next Mayor of Burlington.
