Burlington Mayor's Press Conference: Summer Paving Program 06/04/2010
Burlington Mayor Bob Kiss will hold a press event on Friday, June 4th at 9:00 a.m. regarding the City’s summer paving program. The event will be held at Baird Park on Pine Street, between Home Avenue and Baird Street. Tomorrow morning Pine Street and Queen City Park Road are slated to be one of the streets paved this year. Mayor Kiss and DPW staff will outline this year’s paving plan which includes approximately 50 streets in Burlington and the allocation of 3.2 million dollars for work this paving season. This effort has, for the first time since the City began tracking the condition of its streets in 1987, resulted in an improvement in road conditions as opposed to a decline in condition.
