What can we do to protect the our local communications networks and media production for the people?

CCTV’s Center for Media & Democracy and leaders from a variety of community sectors joined a national discussion (invited by the new US Administration) on new Internet policies to keep local media and communications networks OPEN today and in the future. 

Community leaders and interested people are invited to attend this afternoon meeting (3 - 4.30 p.m.) to weigh in on Channel 17 services and programs as we move into the next  3 to 5 or more years. Join citizens, activists and government officials to discuss the resources necessary to support the meaningful discussion of public issues and enable public participation on local issues? Does community media serve your needs today? What new ideas do you have to share? Your community needs and interests will inform Channel 17 Trustees budget proposal to Comcast.
