Reid Ewing is an expert on how the built environment can create mobility alternatives to the car. He talks about recent work he has completed for U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on the effect of the "3Ds"--density of development, diversity of land uses, and design of streets and public spaces--on walking and transit use. Co-sponsored by the CCRPC and the CCMPO. Reid Ewing is a Professor of City and Metroplitan Planning at the University of Utah, associate editor of the Journal of the American Planning Association, columnist for Planning magazine, Fellow of the Urban Land Institute, and member of the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED LP-Technical Advisory Group.

John Lonergan, and the first St. Patrick's Day Celebrations in Burlington. Before, between, and after the talks Cindy Hill (Burlington Irish Heritage Festival) plays some Irish tunes.
