Description

This statewide, two-day conference  in Stowe, Vermont, on November 2-3, 2016 provided opportunities for teams of stakeholders to learn and work together in furthering emerging or existing Collective Impact efforts.

Christopher Koliba is a Professor in the Community Development and Applied Economics Department at the University of Vermont and the Director of the Master of Public Administration Program. In this interactive session, he helps participants identify the elements of a complex system and how those elements interrelate. He leads the group through the process of constructing a systems map within the context of a community challenge. Graphic recorder Angelique McAlpine captures the groups’ work in real time, and the group explores how visual representation can help facilitate conversation and foster understanding of complex systems.
