Ordinance Committee Part 1 06/27/2012

The Ordinance Committee will take up 'Health Care Facility Buffer Zone' as their sole agenda item. Testimony from Planned Parenthood of Northern New Engaland, Burlington Police Department, ACLU, and public comment are included.The City Council Ordinance Committee reviews and makes recommendations to the City Council regarding proposed changes to the City Code of Ordinances. Proposed changes come to the Committee upon a referral from the full City Council and can be in the form of new ordinance proposals, proposed amendments to existing ordinances, or proposed repeal of existing ordinances. Upon completing its reviews, the Committee returns its recommendations to the full City Council for their final vote.

Colchester Development Review Board 06/27/2012

The Colchester Development Review Board is charged with processing site plan, subdivision, and conditional use applications and variance requests and appeals of the Zoning Administrator's determinations. Board meetings are at 7:00 PM on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month at the Colchester Meeting House in the Village. Further information on the Board can be obtained by contacting the Department of Planning and Zoning.

Essex Junction Trustees 06/26/2012

The Essex Junction Trustees is the governing, legislative body for the Municipality of the Village of Essex Junction. The five member board is elected at large within the Village. The board includes the position of Village President. The position of president and vice president are decided (appointed) through a vote of the board itself. This was a function of a charter update at the 2010 annual meeting. The three year terms of the Trustees are staggered to provide continuity. The Trustees usually meet twice per month on Tuesday evenings in the meeting room at the Village municipal office building at Five Corners The public is invited to attend all meetings, and may address the board or ask questions during a special “public to be heard” section at the beginning of each meeting.

Colchester Selectboard 06/26/2012

The Town of Colchester Select Board meets at 7:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month at the Colchester Meeting House (formerly the white church) on Main Street in the village. However, sometimes special meetings, locations and times are arranged. Check Select Board Agendas which are posted around town at various locations and always at the Library and the Post Office, as well as in the lobby of the Town Offices and on this website. The Public Works Commission represents the citizens of Burlington in determining and demanding appropriate Departmental performance.
