Chittenden Solid Waste District's mission is to provide efficient, economical, and environmentally sound management of solid waste generated by residents and businesses within its member towns and cities of Chittenden County.

Sponsored by the Vermont Commission on Native American Affairs (VCNAA) in collaboration with the UVM Anthropology Department. Opening presentations will cover the mission, scope of responsibilities, and current projects of the Native American Affairs Commission; recent archaeology for the Champlain Bridge project; and contemporary Native identity. Natives and non-Natives are invited to participate and share their thoughts during the extensive question, answer, and suggestion period. Co-presenters for the event are UVM’s Native American & Indigenous Peoples club (NAIP) and the UVM Consulting Archaeology Program. Co-sponsored by Anthropology, VCNAA, ALANA, and NAIP.
 

Margaret Harrington, hosts 5 Massachusetts women arrested for breaching security at the Entergy, Vermont Yankee Nuclear power plant in Vernon, Vermont on their motivation for the action and safety concerns beyond the Vermont border.  Paki Wieland, Marcia Gagliardi, Ellen Graves, Hattie Nestel (hattieshalom@verizon.net), and Frances Crowe make up the 'Shut it Down' Affinity Group.
