Vermont Workers' Center: Workers' Memorial Day at Battery Park in Burlington 04/30/2012

The City of Burlington in partnership with the Vermont Workers' Center and the Barre Granite Cutters Association created a new Workers' Memorial at Battery Park in Burlington to commemorate working people who have died, been injured or become disabled on the job. Vermont Workers' Center and local labor unions mark the memorial and day, with stories of family members and individuals who have been impacted by death, injury or illness on the job.

Rock Lotto 04/23/2012

Dan Higgin video on Rock Lotto. First annual event presented by Girls Rock Vermont and the Monkey House. Rock Lotto is a unique; collaborative; improvisational; band-in-a-day music extravaganza. 25 musicians will get together at 10 a.m. Five bands will be randomly formed; and the musicians have that day to put together a four song; 20 minute set. The bands gather back at the Monkey House 9 p.m. for the live performance. Girls Rock Vermont will also be running an instrument drive the same day of the event. They will take instruments and gear in any shape or condition. Instruments may be brought during the morning meeting of the musicians or to the show in the evening. Summer Video Production Internship - Applications Open

Town Meeting TV is hiring two paid interns to join our production team for the summer! The program will run from Monday, June 24th until Friday, August 16th (8 weeks). $17 an hour, approximately 8 hours per week. We are looking for folks who have basic or intermediate experience with video recording and editing on Adobe Premiere. Interns will work with the Town Meeting TV Co-Directors to pick stories or events that they would like to cover in our community, practice outreach skills, then shoot and edit video that will be broadcasted on Town Meeting TV's YouTube and cable channels. Interested applicants should send their resume and cover letter (including why they are interested in this position and any relevant experience) to Jordan at jmitchell@cctv.org.
