Follow the move of the Lost Shul Mural from the Chai Adam Synagogue on Burlington's Hyde Street, to it's new home at Ohavi Zedek Synagogue on North Prospect Street.  An engineering and organizational feat, enjoyed by the many watching, the many participating and the many to benefit from saving this importatnt piece of history and art.   The historic 1910 mural, representative of traditional Eastern European Jewish art, was painted by Lithuanian immigrant Ben Zion Black. See the future vision for our mall! A follow-up presentation to the community planning workshop on the future of the downtown mall site.

On December 15th, the City Council unanimously approved a robust plan to engage the public around the redevelopment of the Burlington Town Center mall in the heart of downtown. The City will be using a public-private partnership with the new owner to implement the community goals outlined in the-3-years-in-the-making planBTV. The public process for this redevelopment effort is introduced at this meeting.

Rebecca Goldberg, Youth Services Librarian at Fletcher Free Library, is joined by Gary Rogers, Director of Recreation with Burlington Parks and Recreation, and Pat Matton of the Burlington School Food Project, to discuss the upcoming Burlington Summer Nutrition and Recreation Program, aimed at keeping Burlington kids hunger-free and health this summer.  A fundraising event scheduled for May 30th, 2015, includes raffle, silent auction, dancing and food, all for a great cause.  Tix at www.flynntix.org  802.86-flynn
