Veterans Day: Conversations with WWII Veterans 11/11/2015

In recognition of the 70th anniversary of the end of WWII and Veterans Day, please join us for a conversation and stories from WWII veterans living locally here in Vermont. During the event, veterans will discuss their military experiences as well as their return to civilian life after the war.

The Veteran and Military Services team offers a range of support services, including professional tutoring, specialized career services, and access to VA Vet Center services. Enhanced services for military veterans at CCV are funded by the J. Warren and Lois McClure Foundation, Bari and Peter Dreissigacker, Dave Stiller, and the Vermont Community Foundation.

Follow the move of the Lost Shul Mural from the Chai Adam Synagogue on Burlington's Hyde Street, to it's new home at Ohavi Zedek Synagogue on North Prospect Street. An engineering and organizational feat, enjoyed by the many watching, the many participating and the many to benefit from saving this importatnt piece of history and art. Vermont Legislature Recognizes Armenian Genocide 03/31/2015

On the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Vermont House and Senate passed a resolution recognizing the event. Armenians gathered on March 31st 2015 to celebrate the significant resolution with music during the House "Devotional" by Locum, and an afternoon presentation by Vermont authors Chris Bohjalian and Dana Walrath. 1.5 million Armenians were killed in the genocide, which began in April 2015. Some countries, including Turkey, have not recognized the Armenian Genocide happened.

Summer Video Production Internship - Applications Open

Town Meeting TV is hiring two paid interns to join our production team for the summer! The program will run from Monday, June 24th until Friday, August 16th (8 weeks). $17 an hour, approximately 8 hours per week. We are looking for folks who have basic or intermediate experience with video recording and editing on Adobe Premiere. Interns will work with the Town Meeting TV Co-Directors to pick stories or events that they would like to cover in our community, practice outreach skills, then shoot and edit video that will be broadcasted on Town Meeting TV's YouTube and cable channels. Interested applicants should send their resume and cover letter (including why they are interested in this position and any relevant experience) to Jordan at jmitchell@cctv.org.
