Burlington Wards 4 & 7 NPA Meeting 11/20/2013

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 4 & 7 meet the third Tuesday of the month. Meeting place: Robert E. Miller Community Center 130 Gosse Court.

Facing Climate Chaos with Hope and Action: Empowering People of Faith and Spirit 11/16/2013

Vermont Interfaith Power and Light is a statewide non-profit organization working with faith and spiritual communities, individuals, and other organizations to address the crisis of global climate change. 'Working Together, We Can Do Better': An Intergenerational Dialogue on Racial Justice is led by UVM Professor of English Emily Bernard and Partnership for Change Executive Director Hal Colston. Alongside ECHO, event partners include the Burlington Police Department, Community Justice Center, Burlington School District, Partnership for Change, and Young Writer’s Project.
