Burlington, Vermont and Yaroslavl, Russia are sister cities. Eli Harrington, Program Director with the Vermont Council on World Affairs speaks with Howard Seaver, Burlington-Yaroslvl Sister Cities Committee, and 2 delegates from Yaroslavl, Mr. Andrey Likhachev, Deputy, Yaroslavl City Council and Mr. Nikolay Zolotnikov, Administration Head, Nekrasovsky Municipal District, on the history and value of the Sister Cities Program.

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 4 & 7 meet the third Tuesday of the month. Meeting place: Robert E. Miller Community Center 130 Gosse Court.

Mayor Bob Kiss, along with Chapin Spencer of Local Motion and Kelly Devine, BBA will announce the 13 members of the BPTF. The BPTF was created by a City Council resolution, with members appointed by the Parks and Recreation Commission.Task Force Charge:The Task Force is charged with making recommendations for future improvements and changes to Burlington’s Bike Path, which winds for 7.5 miles along Lake Champlain and is a major community feature and tourist attraction. The group will update the path’s capital plan, review funding options, and engage the community on the question of the bike path’s future, in the context of Burlington’s network of on-street paths and other bicycle amenities

The Parka, Arts and Culture Committee is made up of City Council members Nancy Kaplan, Mary Kehoe and Karen Paul.  It is staffed by CEDO Director Larry Kupferman.
