Bernie Speaks To The Community Viral Video

May 10, 2019

Maybe you found us after watching the latest Politico or Daily show video lampooning old hairstyles and the always consistent looks and politics of a certain presidential candidate. CCTV was born in an analog age at a time when people were using the new medium of video making to engage community. In this context, then Mayor of Burlington, Bernie Sanders worked with local media makers and activists to create a local community TV show. They engaged with people of all ages in the community, showed neighbors their own image on TV (something really radical - 15 years before Youtube!) A political leader using media as a way to communicate with constituents. We take this for granted in digital times.
