Bernie Speaks To The Community Viral Video

Maybe you found us after watching the latest Politico or Daily show video lampooning old hairstyles and the always consistent looks and politics of a certain presidential candidate. CCTV was born in an analog age at a time when people were using the new medium of video making to engage community. In this context, then Mayor of Burlington, Bernie Sanders worked with local media makers and activists to create a local community TV show. They engaged with people of all ages in the community, showed neighbors their own image on TV (something really radical - 15 years before Youtube!) PEG TV Summer Study Committee Meets to Discuss Potential Funding Sources

On June 20th, Governor Phil Scott signed the Broadband Bill - now Act 79 of 2019 - in Dover, Vermont. This new law aims to expand access to broadband services and also includes a Study Committee that will consider issues related to the future availability and funding of Public, Educational, and Government (PEG) access television.
