4.08/26/2008 DAVID A. LABRACIO BURLINGTON — David Angelo LaBracio, loving father, husband, son, and brother, died on Saturday of a heart attack. He was 48 years old. His passion for life, friends and the Dallas Cowboys was exceeded only by his deep and abiding love for his family — wife, Mary Mougey; daughters, Catherine “Kate,“ Clare, and Meredith; and son, Peter. Dave was born in Plainfield, N.J., on Sept. 9, 1959. He graduated from Woodbridge High School in New Jersey, and went on to Boston University where he graduated in 1982. With careers in film, sales and as a technologist, Dave was uniquely curious and quietly intelligent. He volunteered his time and talent in his children's classrooms, coaching his son, Peter's, sports, as a camera operator for CCTV, and was a snowboarder, gardener, bicycler, hiker, and cook. Dave's summers were spent at Crescent Beach playing volleyball and grilling surrounded by friends from the neighborhood he loved. His unmatched kindness, sensitivity, bright enthusiasm and infectious laugh were qualities that defined Dave, along with a heart that never stopped giving. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by his mother, Joannie Nadal and stepfather, Christian Nadal, who reside in New Jersey; sisters, Kathy Connelly of New Jersey, and Lorie Huston of New Hampshire; brother, Rick, who lives in New Jersey; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Corbin & Palmer Funeral Home, located at 71 So. Union St. Services will follow on Thursday at 10:30 a.m., in the First Unitarian Universalist Society, 152 Pearl St., in downtown Burlington. Donations can be made to the LaBracio children's fund established at Merchant's Bank, located at 1014 North Ave., Burlington, VT 05408.
