International Leader on Digital Rights to Lead Workshops for Vermont Nonprofits in Burlington, Montpelier and Brattleboro – May 17-19th

April 25, 2016

From the photos on your website to the email addresses in your data base, Vermont nonprofits manage increasing volumes of digita data–often without thoughtful policies and practices. Organizations that spend time caring for their financial and human resources, now need to turn to the important task of governing their digital data.

The good news is that Lucy Bernholz, Senior Research Scholar and Founder of Stanford University’s Digital Society Lab and internationally recognized leader on philanthropy and technology is coming to Vermont to lead three half-day workshops for nonprofits in Burlington, Montpelier and Brattleboro on May 17th 18th and 19th: Digital Rights/ Digital Responsibilities: Managing Your Digital Assets.

During these interactive workshops, Bernholz will introduce digitalIMPACT.io – a web-based tool to help nonprofits develop and share digital policies and tools. The participatory workshops enable nonprofit teams to conduct a “capacity check” for their organizations and learn about the mission-critical resources nonprofits need to strengthen their data governance practices.

Working with Common Good Vermont, Vermont Community Foundation and the Center for New Leadership, Lucy will offer three half-day workshops across Vermont:

  • Burlington – Tuesday, May 17th at CCTV Center for Media & Democracy
  • Montpelier – Wednesday, May 18th at Vermont College of Fine Arts
  • Brattleboro – Thursday, May 19th at Marlboro College Graduate School
