New WiFi Hotspot Offers Old North End Free Internet Access

April 23, 2021

As part of statewide efforts to make the internet more accessible to all Vermonters, Town Meeting TV is pleased to announce a partnership with VTel Wireless to bring high-speed internet service to Burlington’s Old North End residents.

Everyone who needs access to the internet is welcome to join the ‘CCTV Public WiFi - by VTel’ network near Town Meeting TV studios at 294 North Winooski Avenue in the vicinity of Archibald Street and North Winooski Avenue. The free hotspot is available 24/7 with a wireless-enabled device; no password is required. Once they connect, users can download work emails, homework assignments, watch public meeting coverage, or even share community-produced videos. When the weather improves, Town Meeting TV plans to bring their studio outdoors and will livestream select programs from the nearby park.

“Our mission is to secure free speech and open the doors of local government for all, and we’re happy to do our part to keep everyone in our community informed and connected. Especially during these challenging times,” says Town Meeting TV Channel Director Meghan O’Rourke.
