TOWN MEETING TV IS ‘THE PLACE’ TO SPEND TOWN MEETING DAY

Beginning at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2nd, Vermonters should tune in to Town Meeting TV’s “Town Meeting Day 2021” election results program airing live on www.ch17.tv, Comcast channel 1087, Burlington Telecom channels 17 and 217, and simulcast on 99.3FM WBTV-LP.

Hosted by community development consultant Diane Meyerhoff and longtime journalist and on-air personality Mark Johnson, Town Meeting TV’s election day coverage will include special reports on ballot items, interviews with candidates, and commentary by local politicians — including former Winooski Mayor Seth Leonard — safely brought to viewers via Zoom (or “Studio Z”).

“Town Meeting Day will look a lot different this year,” says Town Meeting TV Director Meghan O’Rourke, “But voters can still count on us for the local news and information they need to stay informed about what’s happening in their community.”

The show will also feature exit poll interviews with voters, comprehensive results for Chittenden County races, and updates from the Vermont Democratic, Progressive, and Republican Parties.

Town Meeting TV’s “Town Meeting Day 2021” election results program is part of their ongoing local election coverage.
