Enrique Balcazar y Zully Palacios, líderes de Justicia Migrante, hablan de la prevalencia de arrestos de compas por agentes de inmigración y de la lucha constante por los derechos humanos. Invitan a la comunidad a participar en dos eventos emocionantes, una reunión de una Alianza nacional de trabajadores en los sistemas de comida el 10-13 de junio, y una grand marcha por "Leche con Dignidad" el 17 de junio de Montpelier a la fábrica Ben & Jerry's en Waterbury. ¡Miren el programa y únanse con la lucha por los derechos humanos!

Enrique Balcazar, organizador comunitario de Justicia Migrante, presentará videos de la Marcha para la Dignidad, una manifestación que se ocurrió el Primero de Mayo en Burlington. Los videos muestran trabajadores de ranchos lecheros demandando que Ben & Jerry's cumpla con su promesa de implementar el programa Leche con Dignidad en su cadena de abastecimiento y denunciando los ataques del Presidente Trump.
 
Enrique Balcazar, community organizer at Migrant Justice, will show videos from Mayday's March for Dignity, which took place in Burlington, VT. Videos show dairy workers demanding that Ben & Jerry's follow through on their commitment to join the Milk with Dignity program, followed by a protest at the U.S. Federal Building denouncing President Trump's attacks on immigrant workers.

Rural Vermont: Groundswell of Community Conversations 04/19/2017

Rural Vermont’s Community Conversation Tour will engage communities in dialogue about land use, livelihood, food, and the future of Vermont. At each of the Tour stops, Rural Vermont farmer-leaders and staff will present a vision for an agricultural economy in Vermont that delivers health and vitality to farmer, eater, soil, environment, and community alike.

Attendees will be invited to identify priorities, barriers, and pathways to systemic change at the individual, community, and statewide levels. Rural Vermont will use the results from all Tour events to shape its plan for moving Vermont towards this shared vision for a just agriculture and economy which serve all Vermonters and the land we inhabit.
