About the presenter: Dr Finn has practiced pain medicine in Colorado Springs for 24 years. He served on the Colorado Governor’s Task Force on Amendment 64, Consumer Safety and Social Issues Work Group and the Colorado Medical Marijuana Scientific Advisory Council. Dr. Finn is an Executive Board Member of the American Board of Pain Medicine and has been on their Exam Council for 17 years. He also serves on the El Paso County Medical Society Board of Directors and is involved in the Colorado Pain Society and Colorado Medical Society’s work to manage the state’s opioid epidemic. He is currently editing a medical textbook for Springer Nature titled "Cannabinoids in Medicine" that is scheduled to be published this summer.

Host/Producer Ed Baker is joined by guests Scott Gagnon, MPP, PS-C, Dr. Libby Stuyt, MD, and Anne Hassel, Activists.

Scott Gagnon is a Certified Prevention Specialist from Maine and Director of the New England Prevention Technology Transfer Center. He is the public health representative on Maine’s Marijuana Advisory Commission and currently serves on SAMHSA ‘s Substance (Ab)use Prevention National Advisory Council. Scott will discuss the important issues facing Vermonters today, related to the commercialization of THC (Marijuana): Highway Safety; Public Health; Adolescent Addiction; and much more.

Dr. Libby Stuyt is a Psychiatrist adn Medical Director of the Circle Program, a 90-day inpatient co-occuring treatment program that she ran for 19 years at the Colorado State Hospital in Pubelo, CO. Author of "The Problem with the Current High Potency THC Marijuana from the Perspective of an Addiction Psychiatrist".

Anne Hassel is an activist with first hand experience working in the marijuana industry.

Working with communities to address the opioid crisis.

SAMHSA’s State Targeted Response Technical Assistance (STR-TA) grant created the Opioid Response Network to assist STR grantees, individuals and other organizations by providing the resources and technical assistance they need locally to address the opioid crisis.

Technical assistance is available to support the evidence-based prevention, treatment, and recovery of opioid use disorders.

Summer Video Production Internship - Applications Open

Town Meeting TV is hiring two paid interns to join our production team for the summer! The program will run from Monday, June 24th until Friday, August 16th (8 weeks). $17 an hour, approximately 8 hours per week. We are looking for folks who have basic or intermediate experience with video recording and editing on Adobe Premiere. Interns will work with the Town Meeting TV Co-Directors to pick stories or events that they would like to cover in our community, practice outreach skills, then shoot and edit video that will be broadcasted on Town Meeting TV's YouTube and cable channels.
