Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 4 & 7 meet the third Tuesday of the month. Meeting place: Robert E. Miller Community Center 130 Gosse Court.

Mayor Miro Weinberger and Burlington Town Center owner Don Sinex make an announcement about a transformational mall redevelopment. The Mayor and Sinex are joined at the announcement by Governor Peter Shumlin and members of his Administration, members of the Mayor’s Administration, City Councilors, leadership of state, regional, and local stakeholder organizations, and community members.

Mayor Miro Weinberger promoted active transportation options by leading the 3rd annual Mayor’s Multi-Modal Tour around the City by foot, bike, bus, electric vehicle, and vanpool. The tour concluded with a news conference at the ArtsRiot restaurant and events space, Mayor Weinberger highlighted the completion of the City’s short-term pedestrian safety improvements on Pine Street, the new partnership with AARP Vermont, Local Motion, and others to achieve recognition as a national leader in active transportation and recreation as part of the “Go for Gold” initiative, and plans to engage in a planBTV process for Burlington’s South End.
