Nadando Contra la Corriente con Justicia Migrante: Migrant Justice - Milk with Dignity Farmworkers and Faith Leaders Picket Hannaford Supermarkets 07/28/2023

From Migrant Justice:

Dairy workers and faith leaders from around the country picket in front of a Hannaford supermarket to denounce human rights abuses in the company’s dairy supply chain and to call on the grocery chain to join the Milk with Dignity program.

Milk with Dignity implements a farmworker-authored Code of Conduct setting standards for labor and housing conditions on dairy farms. Participating companies require dairy suppliers to enroll in the Program and pay a premium to cover raises and improvements. Workers are educated on their rights in the Program, and standards are enforced by an independent monitor.

Salimos el día 28 y salir temprano de Burlington, pasaremos a Montpellier y en White River Junction, avisa si vas para apartar asiento en el bus. Invitamos a toda la comunidad lechera de Vermont a apartar su día, apartar los planes y asistir este evento, nuestra participación hace la diferencia.

Torneo de futbol: Estaremos hablando del torneo, la importancia de celebrar los triunfos que tenemos como comunidad. Para este show, estaremos sorteando los equipos y dejando todo claro con la tabla.

This May Day, International Workers Day, Migrant Justice is calling for a day of action at Hannaford Supermarkets across the northeast! Farmworkers and consumers will join together send a clear message to Hannaford: We want Milk with Dignity!
They meet in the Staples parking lot, march together to a nearby Hannaford for a picket and rally, then eat and celebrate together.

Este primero de mayo, el día internacional del/a trabajadorx, Justicia Migrante convoca un día de acción en las tiendas de Hannafords por toda la región noreste! Compas y aliadxs nos unimos para mandar un mensaje fuerte a Hannaford: ¡Queremos Leche con Dignidad!
Únete en la acción principal del día a las 1:30pm en Burlington. Nos juntamos en el parking de Staples (cerca a la salida) y luego marchamos a un Hannaford cerca para una manifestación. Terminaremos el día con comida y una celebración. ¡Nos vemos el 1 de mayo!
