A lot is being done statewide to make walking and biking in Vermont safer, more visible, respected and fun. MC Chapin Spencer, Director of Burlington Department of Public Works introduces Burlington Mayor Miro Weinberger and Alan Cote of Sparta Synergy for opening remarks, then presents a panel ( Sue Minter from VTrans, Rep. Mollie Burke, and Noelle MaKay of VT Department of Economic, Housing & Community Affairs) to discuss local and statewide perspectives. Later, Keynote Caoline Sampanaro of Transportation Alternatives shares strategies for grassroot campaigns to transform streets and adopt sustainable transportation policy, followed by local success celebrations.
