The VT Republican party held its presidential candidate convention in May 2016. "Based on the results of the March 1, 2016 Vermont Republican Presidential Primary, both Gov. John Kasich and Donald Trump will receive 8 delegates each. Delegates will be bound to a candidate on the first ballot at the 2016 Republican National Convention in accordance to Rule 11.J.3 of the Rules of the Vermont Republican State Committee."
Featured speaker at the convention dinner is John "Tig" Tiegen, member of the security team that responded to the 2012 Benghazi terrorist attack and co-author of "13 Hours".
