Description
Award winning producer, James Gero, brings you up close and personal with extraordinary coverage of a Burlington, Vermont continuing tradition, the Vermont City Marathon. From a dangerous weather situation causing 8,000 runners to vacate the starting line in an impromptu exodus only to return for a momentous restart, watch an ominous storm encroach the park coming from the West replacing a bright sunny morning with black threatening clouds. Witness a spectacle only seen once a year, 8,000 runners rambling down the twisting turning streets of Burlington, Vermont. This is accompanied by cordial and sometimes hilarious interviews with enthusiastic spectators and fans cheering on the crowd or their favorite family members. Stay with the lead runners and all their contingents from start to finish. Coming from near and far, they migrate to Burlington, not unlike a flock of colorful birds descending from the blue. Running is good for what ails you. There is no pill in existence that can shape you up, clear your head and rejuvenate your inner spirit. It is your time to get off the couch and spring into step. Please feel free to enjoy and revel in this grand spectacle from beginning to end in all its glory.
