Description
Hunger Free Vermont’s Hunger Council of Chittenden County convenes to hear from local organizations that have taken different community approaches to addressing the issues of hunger and food insecurity in our region. The Association of Africans Living in Vermont talk about their grassroots program, New Farms for New Americans, while the Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission discusses building the issue of food security into the town planning process. Council members consider opportunities for growth and community involvement in these efforts and what members can do to help support these innovative solutions.
