Description
Despite the hard work of many state and local agencies and individuals that undoubtedly has saved lives, opioid-related deaths in the State of Vermont increased by 38 percent in 2016, a stark reminder that we must do more to turn the tide of the opioid crisis.
Mayor Weinberger, Chief del Pozo, and State's Attorney Sarah George host a Town Hall Meeting where the City explains its approach to the public and encourages community awareness of the opioid crisis. The City has also released a draft of 11 principles to guide its efforts to address this crisis, and we are asking you to weigh in as we finalize this document and bring it before the City Council.
