German (Champlain) Club, 20 Crowley St., Burlington
Sunday, March 29, 2 to 3:30 PM; arrive at 1:30 for a tour of the building
Join us to share and listen to stories about life in Burlington’s tight-knit German Community, for over 50 years a vibrant area of homes and stores with the Goethe Club at its social center. Community members visited the Club for dinners, dances, lectures, and its own brewed beer, while local businesses like Kieslich’s Market drew patrons for its homemade sauerkraut, friendly proprietor, and local conversation. Today the Club continues as a gathering spot for the surrounding neighborhood and beyond. Enjoy German music and refreshments following the program.
