Ed’s guest is Dan Ciccarone, MD, MPH. Dr. Ciccarone is a recognized international scholar focused upon the medical, public health and public policy dimensions of substance use, risk and consequences.

Dr. Ciccarone discusses his work researching the development of the public health crisis we are experiencing in America and Vermont today. He explains the confluence of pharmaceutical opioids, heroin, fentanyl and stimulant use and overdose, and the costs in human lives.
