Description

Nuclear Free Future host Margaret Harrington talks with Kevin Kamps, Radioactive Waste Watchdog of Beyond Nuclear, about the situation in the Korean Peninsula today. The discussion ranges from where North Korea got the materials for their nuclear capabilities to the uranium bank set up by the International Atomic Energy Agency in Kazakhstan. Drawing on his decades of activism, Kevin Kamps gives us a perspective that connects the issues of nuclear waste, nuclear arms escalation, the relaxing of security around Vermont Yankee, and the Trump Administration nominees for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and presents us with a coherent challenge.
