Description

Vermont preschoolers benefit from an innovative partnership forged by the Vermont Community Preschool Collaborative. For the past ten years, Vermont funders, educators and state officials have been working together to prepare the state's young children to be ready for kindergarten--providing benefits to young students, their families and saving funds that would later be used for remediation.  Rick Davis, President of  The Permanent Fund for Vermont’s Children, Diana Langston, Director of Early Education in the Burlington School District, and Frank Perotti, former superintendent of the Springfield School District, now working for the VCPC, discuss the importance and future plans of this vital collaboration. In honor of CMD, a few of our dedicated Community Producers shared why community media matters to them. I encourage you to check it out.
