With the state’s August 9 primary election right around the corner, the candidates vying for Vermont’s sole seat in the U.S. House of Representatives are set to face off in person for the latest event in the 2022 Digger Debate Series.
VTDigger hosts back-to-back Democratic and Republican primary debates on June 28 at 6 p.m. at the Double E Performance Center in Essex. The event was also livestreamed at VTDigger.org thanks to Town Meeting TV.
Seven candidates vying to succeed U.S. Rep. Peter Welch, D-VT, gather on the debate stage. The Democratic debate features Senate President Pro Tempore Becca Balint, D-VT; Sianay Chase Clifford; Lt. Gov. Molly Gray; and Dr. Louis Meyers. The Republican debate features Liam Madden, Ericka Redic, and Anya Tynio.
