Governor Phil Scott: Press Conference - Importance of Matching Funds in FY24 Budget 02/23/2023

Governor Phil Scott, Natural Resources Secretary Julie Moore, Transportation Secretary Joe Flynn, and others discuss strategic investments to generate future economic activity and ensure priority infrastructure projects move forward for communities across the state.

The Governor’s FY24 budget secures $150 million to leverage federal funding that requires state matching funds – ensuring the state will be able to capture these federal investments for the next several years.

These matching fund dollars secure at least four-times the amount in federal dollars, and in some cases, more than ten-times the amount. 

Burlington Police Department Press Conference - Cold-Case Closure for Rita Curran 02/21/2023

The Burlington Police Department will announce significant developments in—and the closure of—the cold-case murder of Rita Curran. The press conference will be held in the Kevin Scully Community Room.

Rita Curran was murdered in July 1971, and the case is Burlington’s oldest cold case.
