Kim Chase, third generation, Franco American writer and educator, and Kathy Olwell, retired social worker and social activist, talk about how the impact of the Vermont Eugenics Survey is still pertinent and discuss the vital need for acknowledgment, education, and a chance to heal.

SUNY Plattsburgh Sociology Professor Charles Simpson of Burlington, Vermont's Coalition for a Livable City and the Burlington Ward 6 Neighborhood Planning Assembly provides his personal take, not endorsed by the Coalition or the Assembly, on matters in Burlington and the Greater Burlington area of livability, sustainability, and affordability.

The January 2018 episode takes a critical look at Burlington's housing challenge and considers matters of affordability, fair development, and solutions in housing for the homeless with guests Progressive Burlington City Council candidate Brian Pine and housing planner Tony Reddington.

Burlington Ward 4 and Ward 7 NPA Meeting 01/24/2018

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 4 & 7 meet the fourth Wednesday of the month.
