Vermont ACLU Conference "Thought and Expression in a Changing World," airs on Channel 17/Town Meeting TV

Portions of the Vermont American Civil Liberties Union Conference, "Thought and Expression in a Changing World," are scheduled to air on Channel 17/ Town Meeting TV over the week of August 17-23 each evening at 6 p.m. 

The conference, held on June 29th in Burlington Vermont, explores the implication of digital technologies on individual liberties and free expression.  Conference panels recorded by VCAM, RETN and Channel 17  include issues of interest to community access viewers, free speech advocates and the public at large:  "Recent Developments in Telecom Law", "Al Jazeera and Burlington Telecom", "The Burton Snowboard Case", "Freedom in Cyberspace", "Sexting", "Border Searches of Laptops", and "Cyberbullying".
