Hours, Salary and Benefits: The position is full-time, 40 hours, mainly during weekdays. Starting wage commensurate with experience, skills, education and training.  Pay Scale: $26-29/ hour. Benefits package includes health, dental, vision, short and long term disability.

CCTV’s ideal candidate enjoys getting work done in an accurate and timely manner and has a way with numbers. Ideally, the candidate holds a Finance degree (preferably followed by accounting CPE courses) and is familiar with Quickbooks Desktop and Excel, MS and the Google enterprise suite. Experience with federal grants also preferred.

Requirements and skills:

Familiarity with Quickbooks desktop, Excel, MS and the Google enterprise suite.
Accurate and timely communications
Proven bookkeeping experience
Strong analytical skills and ability to research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
Familiarity with reconciliations, general ledger review, and reporting
Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
Experience with federal grants application and management

Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration or commensurate experience.

Responsibilities include:

Record day to day financial transactions and complete the posting process including purchases, sales, receipts and payments;
Enter data, maintain records and create reports and financial statements;
Process accounts receivable/payable and handle payroll in a timely manner
CCTV’s books include multiple projects and grants that need to be tracked and managed as well as a 20 employee payroll.
Verify that transactions are recorded in the set of books including suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger;
Create and analyze financial reports;
Complete state and local taxes and reporting;
Assist with monthly, and annual financial reporting;
Ensure legal compliance;
Generate invoices and payment reminders to clients
Pay vendors on time and track changes in expenses
Bring the books to the trial balance stage;
Perform partial checks of the posting process;
Work with CCTV team on annual budget process
Work with auditors and other financial consultants to prepare annual audits and related reports.
Work with subcontracted client to meet basic bookkeeping needs
