Think Local: Caroline Fund and Burlington College Legal Clinic 10/04/2013 Host Sandy Baird speaks with guests on various current events topics. Sponsored by the Caroline Fund. The Caroline Baird Critchfield Fund for Women in Need shall assist women in emergencies to create independent, safe, healthy and creative lives.

Burlington Parks and Recreation: Public Forum: Parks Master Plan Update 10/03/2013

The team presents findings on the parks inventory, survey results, level of service standards and next steps. Public input and project visioning begins for future park systems improvements will take shape.

Federal Government Shutdown and Impacts on Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin and Major General Steve Cray, the Adjutant General of Vermont, discuss issues that have been surfacing in communities and media regarding the Government Shutdown and the impact on the state and its agencies. A variety of state agency representatives are also attendance.

Hack the Stacks Burlington Vermont has been selected for the Code for America Brigade. The group will build civic apps and open data projects for community purposes. As part of the national network Code for BTV will collaborate with local governments to use technology to solve problems. Thirty-one communities across the country are part of the Code for America Brigade.

Burlington Wards 4 & 7 Special NPA Meeting 10/02/2013 This special meeting is an open mic session for residents to speak out on community issues such as the f-35s, the school calendar proposed changes and livable wage ordinance.  Wards 4 & 7 meet the third Tuesday of the month. Meeting place: Robert E. Miller Community Center 130 Gosse Court.
