Town Meeting TV is hiring a part-time PAID production intern for Summer 2023! 

Town Meeting TV Summer 2023 Community Media Makers
Create media with local community members about the happenings of Burlington, Winooski, and surrounding communities.
 
Part Time Paid Production Internship(s)
8-12 hours/week - flexible timing
Temporary non-exempt, 16$/hour
Start Date: June 26, 2023
End Date: On or before August 25, 2023

  • Produce community based media stories
  • Collect interesting video footage in and around Burlington
  • Explore civic life and community through media making
  • Gain an understanding of the power and history of community media
  • Practice video field and post production workflows
The Town Meeting TV Production Interns will produce 4-10 short videos focusing on local community politics, oral history, and/or social justice throughout the summer. You will be responsible for the recording, interviewing, and editing. 
 
You will work with the CCTV/Town Meeting TV team to identify potential stories and follow up on contacts you are given to elicit and produce video. You may need to research and develop questions. You will often work independently. You may choose to use your own camera and computer, however production resources are available to borrow from Town Meeting TV.
 
Core competencies required: Clear communication, ability to work independently, technical adeptness, ability to troubleshoot and solve problems creatively, community based curiosity, flexibility, and respect for a wide variety of people, opinions, and ways of life.
 
Some proficiency with camera and audio use in the field, Adobe Premiere editing skills or an equivalent are highly suggested. This internship may require travel around Chittenden County.
