Watch: Vermont Governor Candidates Debate Economic Development
November 04, 2015
More than three hundred people attended one of the first Vermont Governor’s debates of the 2016 election season in Burlington last night (11/3/15). As part of an ongoing series on public issues, VTDigger.org invited the candidates to weigh in on economic development. Moderated by VTDigger’s Mark Johnson, the event opened with a brief review of data trends in Chittenden County and Bennington County and moved on to presentations by Republican candidates Lt. Governor Phil Scott, Bruce Lisman and Democratic candidates Matt Dunne and Sue Minter. House Speaker Shap Smith was not able to attend the event in person, but sent in comments.
