Pete Sutherland: the tunes, the songs, the writing, the mentoring.

Friends, fans, students, collaborators, admirers and more pay tribute to beloved musician, mentor, and community member Pete Sutherland.

The concert will be hosted by Will Mentor and Sarah Blair, with performances by Patti Casey and Colin McCaffrey, Tim Cummings, Geoff Gevault and Anna Roberts Gevalt, Tristan Henderson, Oliver Scanlon, Zach Mills, Rebecca Starks, the YTV Youth Commission, and others.

In this Showcase Concert, the host band La Famille LeBlanc guides us through a series of short performances in which teachers, mentors and parents sing, dance and play with their students, mentees and children. It will close with a performance by the 2022/23 Touring Group.

La Famille LeBlanc of New Brunswick performs French Acadian music, this time with the 20-member YTV Touring Group. The Touring Group’s performance will include material learned on their week-long April tour of Cape Breton, which will have concluded just days before the festival.
