From Efficiency Vermont:
Efficiency VT (EVT) works with the Energy Action Network (EAN) on various teams and committees related to climate and energy work. On Friday, May 30, Sen. Welch will join EAN's Climate Workforce Coalition meeting at our Winooski offices.
Sen. Welch will lead a roundtable discussion with key stakeholders concerned about the Trump administration's disruption to federal programs and looming budget cuts that will impact workforce development and climate initiatives in Vermont. He'll kick off the discussion, with other speakers including the Serve Learn Earn workforce nonprofit, a contractor who does weatherization work in VT, a speaker from AmeriCorps, a Vermont electric utility using federal grants, a speaker from the state low-income weatherization program, and an energy nonprofit impacted by the Dept of Energy grant freeze.
