On April 19th, 12 -2pm we will host the HANDS OFF RALLY in front of Burlington City Hall on Church Street Our goal is to show that the people—the majority—are uniting to stop the corruption and power grab. Hands Off! is an all-in moment for the pro-democracy, pro-worker movement—a demand, a warning, and a rallying cry that responds to the primary reasons for our mobilization:

• Trump and Musk are attempting an illegal power grab is a crisis we must stop.
• Trump, Musk, and congressional Republicans are gutting services, raising prices, and racing towards slashing Medicaid, Social Security, and more.
• Trump, Musk, and congressional Republicans are on this path of destruction for the benefit of their billionaire allies.

If you are concerned about the direction of our government and the recent, unprecedented attacks on our democracy - regardless of your political views - you are invited to join the Hands Off! National Day of Action.

Champlain Valley Indivisible is proud to partner in this effort alongside 50501, MoveOn, and other Indivisible groups as we take to the streets with a clear message: Hands off! We will stand up against those who believe they can take whatever they want—our democracy, our future, our rights. They're taking everything they can get their hands on—our health care, our data, our jobs, our services—and daring the world to stop them. This is a crisis, and the time to act is now.

On Saturday, April 5th, we're taking to the streets to fight back with a clear message: Hands off!

This mass mobilization day is our message to the world that we do not consent to the destruction of our government and our economy for the benefit of Trump and his billionaire allies. Alongside Americans across the country, we are marching, rallying, and protesting to demand a stop the chaos and build an opposition movement against the looting of our country.

A core principle behind all Hands Off! events is a commitment to nonviolent action. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values.

Big doings on Saturday April 5 at noon as we take to the streets to save our democracy from the billionaire cabal. Join us at either the State House in Montpelier or City Hall in Burlington for a peaceful exercise of our first amendment rights.

What to do:

• Make a sign
• Pick a location
• Come out and make some noise!
