    Vermont Access Network wins National Award for Humanistic Communication

    On June 25, the Vermont Access Network (VAN) received the 2025 Dirk Koning-George Stoney Award for Humanistic Communication from the Alliance for Community Media (ACM). The award, usually given to individuals, recognized VAN’s statewide collaboration, advocacy for funding, and efforts to expand digital access. VAN was praised for securing $2.4 million in state support and being a national model for community media. Nearly 20 representatives from Vermont’s media centers attended the ceremony in Boston.
