Gov. Peter Shumlin conducts a Press Conference on Charitable Deductions.

The commission is a citizen body appointed by the Burlington City Council to oversee Vermont’s largest municipally owned electric utility and exclusive provider of electricity to Burlington residents and busnesses.  Regular meetings are held in the auditorium at Burlington Electric Department, 585 Pine Street, Burlington, Vermont.

The Chamberlin Neighborhood faces a variety of changes as airport owned vacant houses are demolished, and noise issues persist. The Neighborhood is scheduled to hold a meeting on May 27th, 6:30pm at the Chamberlin School, to continue efforts at addressing neighborhood issues.  This show helps in sharing the issues and format of the meeting.  Diane Meyerhoff, of Third Sector Associates, is joined by Lee Krohn, Chittenden County Regional Planning Commission, and Paul Conner, Director of Planning and Zoning with the City of South Burilngton.  More information at:  http://www.ccrpcvt.org/chamberlin

The Essex Junction Trustees is the governing, legislative body for the Municipality of the Village of Essex Junction. The five member board is elected at large within the Village. The board includes the position of Village President. The position of president and vice president are decided (appointed) through a vote of the board itself.  This was a function of a charter update at the 2010 annual meeting. The three year terms of the Trustees are staggered to provide continuity. The Trustees usually meet twice per month on Tuesday evenings in the meeting room at the Village municipal office building at Five Corners The public is invited to attend all meetings, and may address the board or ask questions during a special “public to be heard” section at the beginning of each meeting.
