Old North End Youth Center Grand Opening 08/27/2017

Local youths introduce viewers to Burlington, Vermont's newest cultural resource: the converted Saint Joseph's School at 20 Allen Street which is now the city's Old North End Youth Center featuring programming and activities for young people ages 14-24.

The O.N.E. Youth Center is open on Monday and Friday, from 3 pm to 10 pm, and Wednesday from 3 pm to 6 pm.

Burlington Ward 4 and Ward 7 NPA Meeting 08/23/2017

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 4 & 7 meet the fourth Wednesday of the month.

Meeting place: Robert E. Miller Community Center 130 Gosse Court.

Artful Word: Dragonboat Racing 08/06/2017

Community producer James Gero comes to the Dragonboat Races on the Burlington Waterfront. The Lake Champlain Dragon Boat Festival includes 1,600 Vermonters racing 41-foot long dragon boats for fitness, fun, and fundraising. Community teams are made up of local businesses, non-profits, service groups, neighbors, and families who make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors with cancer.
