Town Meeting Day Election Forums: Chittenden County Public Safety Authority PSA 02/14/2018

At Town Meeting this year, voters in many communities will be asked whether to form the Chittenden County Public Safety Authority, a new union municipal district to provide regional emergency dispatch services. The Public Safety Authority would serve as the central hub to dispatch police, fire and rescue personnel for the communities it serves, and take on the role as the region’s 911 call answering center.

Neighborhood Planning Assemblies (NPAs) are grassroots, neighborhood organizations that were established in each of Burlington's seven Wards to empower citizen participation in City government. Working as neighborhood advocacy groups, Neighborhood Planning Assemblies facilitate communication between the citizens of Burlington and city government through regular meetings scheduled in each Ward. Wards 1 & 8 meet the second Wednesday of the month.
