CCTV Welcomes New Hires to the Team!
November 18, 2025
We are pleased to announce the hiring of Matthew Gilson as CCTV’s new Operations and Finance Director!
Matt brings extensive experience in entrepreneurial finance, operations, and business management. He previously founded the strategic consulting firm Legitimus Enterprises and co-founded Ski Shoppe Premium Cannabis. Motivated by mission-driven work, he is excited to bring his skills to CCTV, and we are thrilled to welcome his expertise.
Founded in 1984, CCTV is a community media center located in Burlington’s Old North End. Its mission is to advance free speech, strengthen local democracy, and build community connection by convening, recording, airing, sharing, and archiving community voices. Through advocacy and innovative projects, CCTV ensures that community members have the tools, training, and media platforms needed to participate fully in civic life. CCTV’s programs include Town Meeting TV, the Vermont Language Justice Project, CCTV Productions, the Neighborhood Media Internship, the CCTV Archives, and more.
We also welcomed two new field producers: Aubrey Moyer and MJ Rizzo. Aubrey, a recent graduate of the University of Vermont, joins the team with a strong interest in community media making. MJ, a current Champlain College student, discovered CCTV during a class visit and brings a passion for broadcast and communications. You can expect to see Aubrey and MJ documenting local events and municipal meetings across the region!
