Are you a homeowner in Winooski? Want to learn how to add an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) on your property? Attend the ADU Workshop!

An ADU is a smaller, independent dwelling unit that is located on the same lot as an existing single-family home, duplex or triplex. Building an ADU can offer an additional source of income and is an approachable option to help address Vermont's housing crisis.*

During the workshop, homeowners will:

• Discover the benefits of ADUs and the process required to build them in Winooski
• Learn about Act 181 and the Vermont Housing Improvement Program which can provide funding to ADU projects
• Hear from a panel of local ADU owners and ask questions
• Light refreshments from a local restaurant will be provided

*For homeowners, an ADU can generate steady rental income, increase property value, and provide flexible multigenerational space for family. On a broader scale, ADUs add to the housing supply without requiring major new developments, offer more affordable rental options, and promote gentler neighborhood density.
