The Vermont Democratic Party hosts “A Closer Look at the American Rescue Plan” featuring U.S. Senate President Pro Tempore Patrick Leahy, Congressman Peter Welch, Vermont Senate President Pro Tempore Becca Balint, and Vermont Speaker Jill Krowinski The event is hosted and moderated by DNC Committeewoman Mary Sullivan and DNC Committeeman Tim Jerman.

Just 50 days after taking office, President Biden and Democrats passed the American Rescue Plan (ARP), the most consequential piece of legislation for working families in modern American history, a critical step to get us through this collective moment of crisis and eventually recover from the pandemic.

We've been experiencing the impact of the ARP here in Vermont as it is delivering immediate financial relief to families, supporting small businesses and vaccinating more people throughout the country against the coronavirus as our state builds back better together. Our federal delegation worked hard to bring this bill to life, and our Vermont legislature is taking crucial steps to make sure that this historic victory has the most impact on the lives of all Vermonters.
